David Dinkel
Dave and his family have lived in the Madison area for over 14 years. He lives in Madison with a wonderful wife who is due with their second child in June of 2009 and a 6 year old son who is in Kindergarten. He served honorably in the Marine Corps for 8 years in places such as Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia/Bahrain, Okinawa, Japan and South Korea.
Dave returned to Wisconsin where his parents resided and joined his father’s business as a general contractor. Dave learned all aspects of the new construction process while going to school full time to get his business degree. During this period Dave became a Realtor to enhance his marketability and knowledge in the building industry. Unfortunately, the company went out of business and as a result, Dave lost his job.
Consequently, with lean times just after the stock market crash of 2000 and the September 11th attacks, Dave found that it was difficult to pay his bills. His wife was still in school and was expecting their first child. Dave switched gears to move into health care and found work, but it still wasn’t paying the bills. Soon after Dave’s son was born, he had to work and use up what was left of his 401k to go to school in order to improve his marketability in the health care world. Payments to the mortgage became late. In 2003, Dave went through the foreclosure process and Bankruptcy as a result of the prior events. This was a terrible year for him and his family, but they endured through the help of family and a belief in themselves that with perseverance, they could make it through this together as a family.
“Insane” was very descriptive of how Dave felt while trying to come up with solutions to the daunting financial situation he found him and his family in. Dave needed anti-depressants to sleep during this time because he didn’t know who to turn to for help. His wife spent many nights crying herself to sleep because of the pressure and the unknowns of the situation was slowly crushing her spirit. Dave spent many nights holding his baby boy wondering what he was going to do. He went through several jobs (that he hated!) to make ends meet, and finally in 2004, found a job that was flexible enough and kept cash flowing into the bank account with his wife now working full time and Dave going to school full time and working 3rd shift, they hardly saw each other which was hard for Dave and his wife.
Dave studied to become a Registered Nurse and worked in the health care industry as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) while working exclusively with Traumatic Brain Injury Individuals. Patience and a caring nature were mandatory in working with individuals with an altered mental state and various levels of comprehension. Dave served in this capacity for over 4 years while also educating himself about the various aspects of investing.
In 2006, Dave found himself questioning whether he had made the right move for him and his family. He made up his mind to quit school and take a completely different path that was riskier, but more fulfilling for him and others. He worked at his “job” for two more years while continuing his education into the many aspects of investing. He began by learning about the stock market and then he focused on learning about the world of Real Estate investing. Dave really took his education to the next level by focusing on the niche in Real Estate that had so deeply affected him and his family, the foreclosure aspect! Dave found a family that specializes in working with people who are unable to find a way out of their foreclosure situation by giving them options which they may never have known about before. Along the way, Dave found a business partner, Michael Batz, with the same kind of caring and willingness to help people who found themselves in a difficult situation. With Michael as his business partner, they formed LME Investments, LLC. Dave’s earlier training with patients’ who needed to have calm, secure, personal needs met, is now utilizing these skills in caring for his LME Investment’s clients.
Michael Batz
Michael has been in customer service for over twenty years and has committed to providing people with a positive experience.
Born in Columbus, WI, and raised in Sun Prairie, WI, Michael began his customer service career in a Sun Prairie grocery store which taught him the core value of taking care of the customer. At age eighteen, Michael expanded his service skills by enrolling in the military during the first Gulf War. By working in the Army National Guard 132nd Support Battalion, Michael again further developed his skills on how to work with others and do what it took to get the job done quickly, correctly and completely.
While serving in the military, Michael also worked in the construction business developing his carpenter skills. Working in the construction field helped Michael develope the skills necessary to allow him to work on his first real estate deal in 2000. This deal consisted of purchasing a property, fixing, splitting, and selling the property and ultimately building a new home on the open parcel. It was a great learning experience.
In 1996, Michael returned back to his customer service roots by providing technical support for Windows 95 users throughout the nation. This began a twelve year career, in the high tech industry where he experienced everything from how to configure a single computer and printer to wiring, installing, and configuring entire networks. He has been responsible for supporting over 800 people, in several different countries, with their Email communication needs and providing over 100 people direct individual support for their mobile needs.
In 2005, Michael saw that there was a new way in which he could help people. He saw that people were struggling with their house payments and were going into foreclosure with seemingly nowhere to turn for help. The realities sunk in hard as he witnessed a couple of his close friends going through the painful process. He witnessed how they didn’t’ have a guide that could help them work out a solution that was best for them. He watched as one of his closest friends felt there was no hope and drifted off into a state of helplessness and/or analysis-paralysis. Michael has witnessed the anger, the denial, the hopelessness, the guilt, the fear, and ultimately and unfortunately, the loss of hope.
Michael wanted to help people avoid this pain so he decided to educate himself and open his own foreclosure business that specialized in helping people stay in their homes. Michael devoted himself full-time to people who needed his help out of foreclosure. It wasn’t long after Michael opened his doors that he met Dave Dinkel and together they formed LME Investments, LLC; a company committed to relieving the pain and anguish of those having to go through the foreclosure process and provide options and a sense of hope where there was seemingly none before.
Michael has been married to his high school sweetheart, Jennifer, for 12yrs. They live together in Waterloo WI along with their three wonderful children. Michael’s hobbies include playing softball, volleyball and serving as a member in the Capital City N’ Gineers (Madison WI N-Scale model railroad club).
